your dead right on the state of the officials. cole should have gone just after half time as he made about 5 bad challenges even before his first yellow.Luiz should have been booked early in the first half then a second yellow after his tackle on dyer yet he did not even got spoken to but on the same hand taylor was lucky to only get a yellow for his lunge yet rangel got booked just for tugging a shirt

Wow, what a shockingly shallow article!
So the "pressure being placed on players by the respective football associations of the countries outside of England is clear to see."

Really? What's clear to me is the pressure being put on the players and Celtic associations by the FA, the BOA and some meddling politicians. How can it be "pressure" to want your players to not endanger your very existence?

"The idea of unification between the home nation sides is something instantly appealing to fans"

Really? Which fans are these then? Have you any evidence to support this fact, given that the Football Supporters Federations of each of the four home nations are opposed to the idea.

"It is unfortunate then, that player could potentially be reprimanded for taking part in what should be a spectacle"

A "spectacle" in what way exactly, and why is it a spectacle this year but wasn't in, say, 2008, 2004, 2000, 1996, 1992, 1988 ..?

Next time, try writing an article which explains WHY the Celtic associations are against the formation of a Team GB instead of the shallow brushing aside of any concerns ... actually, no, you didn't even brush aside said concerns as you failed to even give them the slightest mention!

Greenwich and Crystal Palace? That's going to please Charlton Athletic and - um - Crystal Palace no end. Although in those cases, I guess all is fair in marketing.

But as for the WHU Members - I feel your pain. Something certainly happened, though - there were LOADS of West Ham supporters on the platform at Chippenham for the 11:25 yesterday. Many of the commuters would have picked up their free Evening Substandard on the Friday. Then again, they all had branded gear, so had to be West Ham already - it just that I've never seen any significant WHU presence in Chippenham. Most odd.

I could say the same thing when they let season ticket holders last season 'bring a friend' FOR FREE on three ocasions so it works both ways I had a season ticket for 3 years but can't go now due to work so these little discounts are small comforts and surely you would want the club to help YOUR fellow fans to get to games if they couldn't quite afford it ? Also DG has said on twitter the 10 pound refund is available so there isn't a problem in my eyes DRUNKEN ANGER STRIKES AGAIN :P
